I was in Edmond (Today 3/6) and couldn’t find the chicken breast for 99cents a pound. I think I might of seen where it was but sign was down and everything was marked $1.99 a pound. It was on the end of the first freezer after produce. Did I miss where it was?

Also Doritos were $1.88 and there is a coupon that I used.

Also Ken’s salad dressing was 3 for $5. $1 off 2 printable coupon but one worked and one didn’t. Lady said if there is a double bar code they won’t scan and they can’t take them? Wasn’t too sure?

Shout Laundry spray 3 for $5

7up 12pk can $1.88 limit 3. (A&W rootbeer) (RC Cola) That brand. Back in Indiana we called it 7up brand might be RC brand down here not sure.

Pizza Rolls big 40 oz bag 2 for $5 and coupons out there.

Garlic Bread I saw was crest brand for $1.25

Tyson Frozen Chicken 40oz bag $3.99

Hilland french onion dip (other kinds also) 77cents 16oz

Thanks KM. Crest Foods registers are not reading the coupons with just one barcode. If it is an insert coupon then they are supposed to manually enter them. If it is a printable, then they cannot accept it.

  • Marnie March 6, 2012, 4:06 pm

    Thank you for the list!!!!

  • KM March 6, 2012, 6:33 pm

I guess I never noticed if there was on barcode or not. Do different sites print different ones? I printed two of the Ken’s dressings coupons off the same site. One took one didn’t. Maybe ink issue?

    • Amanda March 6, 2012, 7:56 pm

Hmmm…if one coupon scanned and one didn’t, then it was probably an ink issue.

It’s not different sites that print coupons differently but different manufacturers. Kellogg’s is one of them. They started publishing all their coupons with just one bar code. Most registers will still read them but some stores will not. Crest Foods is supposed to be working on this issue but still don’t have it updated.

Love it that you’re sharing the deals you find with us and love it that another guy is reading SSS. Would like to get feedback on what kinds of deals and tips frugal guys would like to see.

  • KM March 6, 2012, 6:43 pm

Also Nutri Grain Bar were 2.50 for 16 count.
Tyson Full Cook meals I guess you could call them in the refrigerated section $2.99 for 17oz. I think they are normally $3.99 maybe $4.99

Also drove to the one on NW23rd st. I would say less deals at this location than Edmond. Like no Pace Picante on sale. No ken’s dressings, and cooking oil was no longer $2.50 for wesson like it was at Edmond.

I will probably be going on Tuesday or Thursday. If Amanda goes begging of week I’ll try and go a few days later. I’m a single guy and don’t buy much but do the coupon thing and have a lot of time to walk around and take notes. :)

  • lynnea March 6, 2012, 8:24 pm

So the chicken breast is no longer .99 cents/pound? I was about to head out tonight when I decided to read the comments. :)

    • Amanda March 6, 2012, 8:40 pm

Sorry Lynnea, I guess it’s gone.

  • lynnea March 7, 2012, 8:07 am

    OK thank you!

  • KM March 7, 2012, 2:15 pm

I will probably be going the to the one on NW 23rd. Also if you would like a guy tip dry off your disposal razors. They will last longer and it’s the water that rust out the blades and not using it. I heard that on Dr.OZ about a year ago and it really does work.

Moore meat sale next week. Starting Thursday at 9am. What is this and is it worth making a trip to Morore for?

    • Amanda March 8, 2012, 2:43 pm

Crest periodically runs bulk meat sales at their stores. Personally, I don’t find the sale prices to be that great and definitely not worth a trip to Moore. JMO.
