I wanted to share 12 books I’m reading this year (2017).
When asked about hobbies or favorite pastimes, reading is always the first to come to mind. I love getting lost in a good plot or burying myself in the thoughts of great minds. I used to read non-stop. Then my family became so busy and I just stopped prioritizing the time.
Now that we have two more licensed drivers on our hands (hallelujah and YIKES! all at the same time), I’m finding myself with a little more time on MY hands.
So one of my goals this year is to start reading again. I’ve actually committed to reading 24 books in 2017 – one non-fiction and one novel per month.
I’ve chosen the non-fiction selections from books I already own, but never got around to reading. Most of them were chosen based on other goals I’ve set for the year or because they correspond with my one word for 2017.
I’ll choose the novels as I go along and most likely they will be free kindle books. You know me, frugal to the core.
I have a feeling that I may not have enough time to read a fiction book every single month – so I’m holding myself accountable to the non-fiction selections and will make up the fiction over the summer when routines and schedules are a little lighter.
